Not sure if they're up to Metcalfe standard, but they don't look too bad

Yes, my immediate thought was that they look a little crude, bit surprising for 4D Model Shop, their stuff usually looks great!

I use 4D a lot. Their service is excellent, and they do a great range of strip and sheet material in larger sizes. The channel I use edging my layout backscenes is in 1m lengths so easier to use than the little evergreen packs of the stuff. It's well worth browsing their website.

They also have a huge archive of modelling videos and guides to dip in to which are really useful if you have not used a product before  :D

I like the look of these kits so thanks for the link. They do look basic, but I like that, as you can put your own interpretation on the kit to make it suit your location.

However for something that basic .... Flippin' 'eck have you seen the price  :o :o :o

Saying that though, I have ordered a kit and will let you know what it's like in the flesh

All best wishes

Kevin

:beers:

Exactly what I thought. If that's the best job they can make of it, what horror show are they expecting from my puddin' fingers?!  :worried:

...and my immediate thoughts are that they don't look like anything I would recognise from South London...
...and I have been a 'Sarf Landon' boy (living in Peckham, near to Camberwell) for the past 50 years. :worried:

But still, nice that someone is trying a bit of regional variation... :D
...and it makes a change from 'the Dark Satanic Mills' you find 'ooop North'. This, from someone who proudly did their Transport degree in Huddersfield... 8)

Charles.

I wondered if " from sarf of the river" could be considered racist!!

Seems everything is racist now ..... I think I have still got one of the old Robinson Gollywog enamel badges somewhere.

Imagine wearing that out and about now  :o

I will let you know what the kits are like. I ordered this one ....

I don't think it looks very South London to me, but it does look like some of the old fishermens cottages round the harbour here  :D

Hi All,

Well the kits arrived last week, and first impressions are as expected ....... very disappointing.  :(

I'm not ready to start building yet, but will get some pictures and show a comparison with some kits I got from Severn models, which are excellent  :D

I guess that would go in the review section

All best wishes

I couldn't imagine being so offensive myself. BTW, the word itself is highly offensive.
