Title: Any German Modellers here ?
Post by: Phoenix on July 17, 2021, 01:32:31 PM
 :hellosign:

Hi All,

I was talking to someone I do business with and I mentioned I am a railway modeller, and he told me about his brother, who apparently is quite well known in German modelling circles.

His name is Marco Nardi, and I was just wondering if anyone knew of him.

All best wishes

Kevin

Hi Big Mac,

Many thanks for your reply. :D :D :D

His name is definitely Marco Nardi .... His brother is Peter Nardi, but if the guy you mention is on here he might know who I mean.

Incidentally I see you are on the Isle of Wight ..... do you use "Upstairs Downstairs" at all. I have been recently using them a lot, and find them excellent for service, value, and having what I need.

Top marks to them  :claphappy:

All best wishes

Kevin

Upstairs Downstairs. A great little shop which I have visited a couple of times and also ordered online from too. Hopefully with the new job I'll get to visit again soon too

or is it Marco Neri?  i think he is on here.

Marco Neri is Italian and lives in Umbria, Italy.
We do have several German members but I've not heard of anyone with the surname Nardi

Germany is in a bad way at the moment, from what I see on the news. I do hope he isn't affected by that.

I've bought a fair bit from their eBay presence and I can only echo your sentiments, they are one of the few sellers that I specifically look out for if, at any time, more than one seller has what I want.

Marco Nardi appears to be involved here, although he is not listed in the club officers: Modelleisenbahn-Club Frankfurt-Griesheim 83 e.V. (MCG 83 e.V.). https://www.mcg83.de/ (https://www.mcg83.de/)

My module group only exhibit in the bottom corner of SW Germany and Alsace, so I've never met him.

Thank you Peter for that ..... I am trying to get Google Translate to work so I can see what is going on in that club.

Can I also echo Bealmans thoughts in hoping you and your family and friends are ok, not having been affected by the terrible weather your country is experiencing at the moment

All best wishes
