Title: Partial solar eclipse today
Post by: Newportnobby on June 10, 2021, 11:32:01 AM
Annular solar eclipse today? 10.08 this morning?
Not in the cloudy and dull NW it wasn't >:(
Well, it was but we we just couldn't see it through the murk.
Dug my 'Eclipse Shades' out, too ::)

I'm also in the North-West, so no chance. If there had been, I'd have probably dug out an old welding mask lens - as I did when visiting Austria for the 1999 total eclipse.

Absolutely zero chance down here in Cornwall.
Thick cloud and rain for us.

Way back when I was a kid, I remember hearing there would be a total eclipse over Cornwall in 1999.

I thought, hell, I'll be about 48 or so by then!

It's now 2021, and the maths I don't need, thank you  ;)

I thought I saw it earlier when it went rather dark but then realised the wife had just walked past the front window
