A couple of days ago, I started writing a post but had to break off before I had finished. 'Aha', I thought, I'll save it as a draft. Came back to it the next day, found the draft OK, and continued writing. When I had finished, I checked the preview - all seemed to be OK, so I hit Post. When the completed post came up, I was a bit gobsmacked to discover it had posted the original draft, and all my subsequent words of wisdom were lost in the ether! As it no longer made any sense, I deleted it.
It was only a fairly frivolous post, so I really couldn't be bothered to start again. Has anybody else had this experience, and should I be doing anything different?
Cheers,
Chris

Test saving as draft, this is the original text.
OK so this text is added after saving as a draft. Let's see if the full post is published?

Seems to have worked ok?  I've never played with the draft function before.

OH no, how very annoying!  All I can say is that it worked for me.   :-\  If others report similar issues I'll look into it a bit further.

Used it a couple of times.
It may be you have a P.I.C.N.I.C. problem.
 :hmmm:

I've used it occasionally and not had that problem.

Only used it a few times, not had any problems, a very useful addition

				Possibly a date/timestamp mismatch.
Or possibly not.
Edit: I did the draft yesterday but posted it today after adding more text. So it's not that...

I was sorry to hear about this, Chris
I have started using this a fair bit and am finding it very helpful.  I save something as a draft and then edit it, using the little pencil-thingy 'button'.  Every now and again I highlight the text I'm working on and right-click on 'copy'.  This saves it if the session on the Forum 'times out' or some other disaster intervenes.
I always try to 'copy' before clicking on 'Preview'... just in case.
Maybe worth you having another try; I think it is a really good addition to our Forum.
All good wishes
John

				Thanks for the replies.
How very odd! The only difference I can see between my attempted post and the tests by @ntpntpntp (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=5885) and @Yet_Another (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=4156) is that mine contained a photo and it ignored everything I had added after the photo. But it is obviously a useful feature, so I will try it again some time.
Cheers,
Chris
