Quite a plucky little sod.....Saw off two Magpies! :o
He looks like a red-legged partridge.
Partridge.
Very tasty, challenging little blighter to shoot. Often in a small group (covey).
Currently out of season for shooting.
At first I thought it was a Hen Pheasant but the tail was too short.
Have to say it was amusing watching it stand up against the two Magpies! :D

I saw a whole family of them in town earlier. I'm not sure if they had red legs though.

Okay by me John, as you probably already know I haven't a problem with threads going off topic! ;)
