Title: Gluing foam rubber or similar to card.
Post by: Airfix 27 RA on March 10, 2021, 07:33:30 PM
Hello.

I am looking to make stock storage boxes, from shoe boxes, using foam stripes as partition pieces.
What would be the best glue to use to stick the foam to the cardboard box.
I am thinking of using UHU.  Is this OK or does anyone know of a better glue.

Thanks for reading
Stuart

PVA, possibly diluted a little, may soak into the foam somewhat and give a better bond.

I use PVA for the foam liners in my stock trays.  I find the fumes of UHU and similar can attack plastic

I've used eFoam spray adhesive, sold by the firm that also supplied the foam.

Copydex would be my choice.

If UHU attacks foam rubber like it does expanded polystyrene, there'll be nothing left! :bounce:
