:worried: Worryingly quiet on the Forum today, people. Looking down the 'Latest Posts' the last 30 have taken 6 hours; normally it's about 2 or 3 hours. And it's a Sunday, too, which usually seems to be a busy day.
Is everybody OK, or are you all working on your layouts?
Hello! Anybody there? Can you hear me....?
Cheers,
Chris
I was thinking the same.
A quiet day.
I've been busy fiddling around with plastikard, motors, a wagon, a tender and a handful of imitation coal ;)
I will get this coaling tower working, I hope. It's looking promising at least.
I'd better do, it's the raison d'être for building Furness Junction in the first place.
I can only speak for myself, track cleaning plus on and off the forum. Yes it has been quiet
Busy chasing a short. :-\
Been really busy in real life prepping a huge pile of junk for collection and spending some rare time with my OH.
Manchester United v Manchester City ?
or
Grandmothers' Day ?
Spent most of the day reorganising the N gauge collection, which has dangerously overflowed available cases and storage crates over lockdown. I've abandoned buying from abroad at the moment, but it's just too easy to hit "buy it now" on ebay and blow some of the cash I've saved since working from home :)
Sorting the kitchen out (as my wife isn't up to it).
Gardening (getting rid of weeds and ivy growing down the side of the garage).
Cutting and welding steel for new gates (made a whole lot easier as I bought a second-hand, horizontal and vertical, bandsaw a while ago, so accurate 45° mitred corners are both simple and effortless).
Spent the day working on latest Arduino project. Didn't really notice the quietness on the forum - but you lot are all asleep when I'm doing stuff anyway ;)
Sometimes, simply nothing constructive to add to a thread, so follow the old adage and say nothing...
(If only a few others would do the same occasionally ;) )
Sunday. I was in church of course
It was Sunday, the day to visit the grandkids.

I do hope that you then went down to the butts for your weekly archery practice ;D
What a relief to know everybody was gainfully employed!
Cheers,
Chris
I've been taking the rear wheel out of my 1500cc Goldwing. Weightlifting session anybody?
I'm just not 'ere.
:confused1:
I spent a fruitful hour turning the railway room upside down trying to find my pack of replacement Exacto blades. Of course I found them where I'd put them - on top of a stack of NGS Journals under a sheet of track plan that I'd been looking at five minutes earlier.
I was trying to get better at taking photos.
And from today in England you can get drunk outside with one other person!
I've though the forum has been quieter of late in general. I think it tends to be cyclical, and is definitely self perpetuating. I guess nicer weather will lead to a downturn.
2pm on an antipodean afternoon here.
Where is everyone? :)
I'm here :D
:hellosign:
Yeah, wondered where you were ;)
Eccles, Why are you here?
AWWW, Everybodys gotta be somewhere...................
I've searched the Members list diligently and I'm afraid I cant find any trace of 'everybody', 'anybody' and even 'nobody'. When did they last post? :hmmm: Have they been barred by the Mods? Where are they now!? :hmmm:
I just hope 'somebody' will reinstate them soon so this Forum can get back to normal. Wherever that is. :confused1:
(As for 'somebody' also not being listed, I guess that's pretty normal as 'somebody' is always in charge.)
" 'Who's on first base "
(You'll either get it or you won't)
;)

the cakes are so gooooood
Dose spending money on N Gauge locos and carriages count as gainfully employed :smiley-laughing:
it does as far as the manufacturers are concerned :smiley-laughing:
Still hanging around & stocking up N gauge scenery alongside offsite projects. Just got some nice little apple trees for a small scenery display.
Sometimes when someone asks 'Can you hear me?', the appropriate answer is 'No!'.

If you need any more apple trees I'm happy to send some for postage cost only
