Hi all
I have a Dapol Class 43 book set set and a couple of Dapol coaches to add to the set but need a few more
I am trying to stick to Dapol so they all look like a matched set but keep seeing the Graham Farish version, how do they compare side by side, are the colours a close match or is there anything that makes it obvious they are from 2 different makers.
Thanks for any input on this

Farish coaches are moulded in clear plastic (mostly, older ones used inlays for glazing) with all the livery elements printed straight onto the shell - no relief. As such they really don't stand up well alongside Dapol. Ironically I think the Farish coach is actually a better shape, but the Dapol one knocks it into a cocked hat on detail.
Thanks, that does explain why the Farish ones were much cheaper than the Dapol version.
I will stick to the Dapol ones then.

The Farish coaches do have the advantage of being able to be stripped and use Electra vinyls to relivery or convert into Class 442s, etc. That said, I have found my new HST Blue Pullman vinyls fit equally well to the Dapol Mk3 as well.
Thanks for the replies
Bit of an off chance question, don't suppose anyone has a list of all the Mk3 Blue Grey Coaches Dapol produced, so I know what to look out for.
Thanks
Paul
