hi
i am after a l1/160 low loader that can take a rail vehicle approximately 120 mm long...
is such a model available?
i have seen dm toys made a man f90 with fairly long trailers but unfortunately none are in stock...
alternatively can you buy long trailers separately from anywhere or kits?
prefer 1/160 but i do have a tomytec 1/150 tractor unit i could possibly use attached to a long low loader trailer.
any suggestions very welcome!
cheers
tim
ebay member shaunybaby11 (https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/shaunybaby11) offers a selection of tractors and trailers that might fit your needs. IMHO they're a little crude but prices aren't too bad and feedback score is respectable. Hope that helps. :beers:

I bought a tipper and it was fine for the price and will look good when I have painted and weathered it.
This is a link to the long multi-wheeled trailer and tractor unit:-

The DM Toys site you've looked for the F90 on also shows a fair number of different low-loader semis and trailers that might be suitable. I've linked below to the search criteria Vehicles - Truck that shows them all, from Modellbahn Union, Oxford, and others like Langley
DMT usually only list what they have in stock so that might help, though every item listed shows 4 - 21 days delivery.
https://www.dm-toys.de/en/list/category/vehicles_truck.html (https://www.dm-toys.de/en/list/category/vehicles_truck.html)
N.B. - the list includes various colour ways for the DM Toys own brand F90 cab only.
Have you been watching Train Truckers then @bluedepot (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=114) ? :D
The ebay ones don't look too bad for the cost. The cab needs glazing.
I count myself very lucky to have a good friend with the skills to scratch build this sort of thing:

Magnificent, Nick.
A similar type from Modellbahn Union, unpainted, but your friend has created a much finer looking beast.

My mate's model is at least 15-20 years old (I forget exactly how old). It was made for a British N club layout but never used, so about 4 years ago we offered it to a German friend for one of his modules. It was gratefully received with the proviso that it needed some lights. That was my job: create a custom PIC controller to drive a whole load of flashing lights for the main units and the supporting vehicles.
Blinking good video. Damn fine modelling all round. Thanks.
I almost forgot (as the boards have been packed away for a while due to working from home) but we do actually have a small haulage scene in progress as part of the loco depot modules I'm currently building. The tractor unit was actually a spare made at the same time as the big model so it's again at least 15 years old.
I've created a light controller and fitted the LEDs, the model still needs final detailing, decals and weathering etc.

thanks everyone!
turns out there are a few more options than i realised...
yes i may have been watching train truckers!
the dm toys trailer linked to was 100mm so i might try that either with a tomytec tractor unit or buy a man f90...
cheers for the links and also nice pics and video nick
