Hi Folks,
What a year! There is no doubt in my mind, that you have all helped to keep me sane in 2020. The friendly, inclusive nature of the NGF is a joy to behold. In addition, I really appreciate all the kind comments and support you have given me with my er... rather basic modelling projects.
So, Merry Christmas to you all and let us all hope 2021 is a big improvement.
:NGF:
Yuletide Felicitations

A very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year to you too!

Evening on Christmas Eve here in Australia. I'm enjoying a beer before I go home to a day with granddaughter tomorrow.
New Covid outbreak in Sydney has prevented my middle daughter coming from Adelaide, but that's the way it is.
I'd like to wish all forum members, wherever you are, best wishes on behalf of the NGF team. I'm not kidding when I say that it's a pleasure to be a mod here, because everyone gets on so well.
It's been a difficult year, and it's not just going to stop because it's 2021, but it's been great to read about the positive effects this forum has had in these strange times.
Merry Christmas, everyone! :beers:

A happy Christmas to all from me too. Chris
A sunshine morning here in Lincolnshire and we are preparing to drive to Newark just to drop off the presents for our three youngest grandchildren (8, 4 & 4 - odd names, I know ;) ). Sadly we won't be stopping nor get to hug them, just see them through a closed window, before returning home for a quiet Christmas.
We shall all be having similar experiences I expect this Christmastide, but still we shall enjoy whatever we can, and I hope that all of you find cheer and comfort over the coming day's, and beyond.
So Merry Christmas one and all, thank you for your company over the past year, and may your tracks stay clean, your wheels turn smoothly, and your trains run on time as we look forward to a brighter dawn.

A Happy Christmas to you all from us. Stay safe and well and keep on modelling
Seasons Greeting to you all.
Stay safe 'cos we want to see you all back with us in 2021
Well here we are Christmas Eve.
It's not the Christmas we wanted, nor frankly deserved.
However if this year has taught me anything it's try and be thankful for what you have.
Personally we can't spend the 5 days with Grandparents we wanted, but at least we still have them.
I have enjoyed this hobby massively this year and it truly has kept me sane.
I hope you all get a little something in 1:148 (or 1:150 or 1:160) and enjoy Christmas Day as best you can.

Ho Ho Ho to you all!

We hope you all have a happy, (as much as possible anyway), Christmas. We have all had some interesting times this year, some happy and some, sadly, not so happy. On a personal note, I would like to thank the forum members for sharing their knowledge, advice and, yes, some humour over this past trying year. To Tank and all the Mod's - have a drink on me for doing a great job. I will pay you when I see you ;).
From all in Averingcliffe, Louisa and myself, (and the dog ... and the cats :)). Take care.
David.

All the Best to everyone on the site, hope everyone has a nice Christmas and hopefully we will all have a good year next year. This is the most friendly site I know so Keep Safe everyone.
Hi all,
A strange year as other's have mentioned. Thank you to everyone on the Forum who have kept me and others going in these difficult times .
I hope you all have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
I don't have any new pics yet but here's one from last year and may your flatulence subside in 2021 :).....

Try and have fun everyone,
Cheers, weave :beers:
A Happy Christmas to all fellow forumites.
Like others, this forum has helped to keep me sane throughout 2020 so thank you to all those that have either read, contributed to or even enjoyed the absolute drivel and nonsense that I have written.
Let's hope that 2021 offers us some hope and a way out of the current troubles and worries.
Thanks to Tank and all the moderators who have kept this great distraction functioning and thanks to everyone for keeping things friendly and humorous.
Have a great time everyone and lets look forward to a happy, safe and prosperous new year.
Cheers :beers:
Martin.
The warmest of festive greetings,
I send to you, one and all,
May your present be all that you wished for,
Properly N Gauge, and small...........
Merry Christmas -- BobD (N-Train)
Warmest seasonal felicitations to one and all.
After this strange year, here's hoping that next year will be a far better one

@weave (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=735) You're kidding, Chris! It's my instant Covid test i.e. if I can smell 'em I know I'm OK. :D

- definitely on top of the list for the funniest one-liner of the year!
Sorry David ( @dannyboy (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=4209) ), but it's a 'no contest' situation.
Merry Christmas Mick. :beers:
Today some will be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, others the winter solstice or just letting their hair down because they can. There may even be a few celebrating the birth of Mithras, who's birthday was pinched by the Roman church for Jesus. Whichever it is, I hope you enjoy it.
For me, however, there is an additional anniversary because it is sixty years ago today I got my first train set! It was a Hornby-Dublo 2-rail set with a R1 0-6-0 tank engine in B.R. malachite, two open wagons and a ex-GWR brake van. I still have the train, although it's in a tatty state. Maybe I'll see if I can smarten it up a bit and remove the ill-advised weathering.
This has to be far and away the best Christmas present I ever received as it started me off on a hobby that I have never completely left in all this time. It has brought me a great deal of satisfaction and a certain amount of anguish in various scales from the Midland and Great Northern to the Norfolk and Western.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who got started with a train set on this date sometime in the past, so happy anniversary to you all.
Christmas greetings from Japan! :beers:

Well, I would like to point out that the year is not yet over and, after nearly a year of my 'groaners', I would hope that some of you have learnt something. :P. Merry Christmas one and all. :beers:
A bit late in the day, but a happy Christmas to you all from deepest Sussex. We are fortunate that we have been in a child-support 'bubble' with the grandsons, so we had a fairly normal Christmas with the family, so we sympathise deeply with those of you for whom such a gathering has not been possible. Like everybody else, we hope that a new year will bring an improvement in our lives.
I'd like to add my annual thanks to Tank and his merry mods for keeping this forum the informative and good-natured place it is.
Here's to a better year to come.
Cheers,
Chris
