I've had funnies like that which went away when I tried it the next day - I assumed the bank threw a random wobbly.

Never had that problem before, all i can say is double check all your details and try again tomorrow morning. Most likely a short term error with either your bank or paypal.

When I had this problem I had forgot to update my credit card details after receiving my new card and once the expiry date of the old card was reached I got the error that you are describing.

I had the same issue two weeks ago paypal offline but my ebay account had me as buying must pay now. Turned out issue was with paypal and ebay offered me a $10 discount on my next purchase

On a side note as a seller i hate paypal as they take momey out when someone deposits their payment to you and if you dont have a certain amount in the account a further fee is charged to get your money. Great for buyers not so for sellers

I had a problem with paypal two weeks ago, and they still haven't got back to me - only automated emails.  I just opened up another account with no problems in the last two weeks. *touch wood*
