So I have just noticed Peters Spares have listed the latest sound fitted Farish Class 31s.
Strangely also the Network Rail version without sound, but no other version.
I have not seen any announcements from any of the retailers, but suggests they have arrived?

Interesting that he has all the sound fitted ones on eBay but nothing on his website
The non sounds which should have been first have been pushed back to next year to allow them to convert the first batch to all sound, they obviously found sound is a big seller now and want to get them sold first.

They seem to be listing both the sound fitted & non sound versions on ebay...

Ah yes, those have been added after I started this thread.
Still interesting no other shop has announced these?

Yeah, I've not seen them listed as available anywhere else as yet.

They seem to be showing up to order with a few dealers now, hope this is a sign that are now available and not just expected.

So just received the Kernow newsletter, would appear all versions have arrived with them as well.
Have updated title of thread accordingly

Osbornes and Rails were supposed to get theirs today, hopefully ;)
NGM
Who is going to be first, ordered mine from Osbornes, hope they still have stock this time, unlike with the 8F
Anyone got theirs yet, if yes which one or ones did you go for, I went for the silent BR Green

Just checked Rails and they are saying 'in stock'
Hi Everyone,
Just to let you know that Digitrains have received a shipment of new launch GF Class 31 models, including factory sound-fitted versions.
Paul
371-135 and 371-136 just arrived from Cornwall. Haven't time to get them out of the box yet, but superficially they look superb!
Very tempted by the sound fitted large logo grey one & sound fitted blue one, although I already have 3 blue non sound versions.... :hmmm:
I went to collect my 8f yesterday and he showed me three different class 31's including a green version. I came home but decided to have a green one it looked so good, I have been and collected it this morning. Not sure what to do yet, not sure if it comes with a speaker, I might upgrade it to sound fitted.
Ps it comes with speaker fitted.
I bought the sound fitted Railfreight 31154 from Tony's Trains of Rugby today. They arrived in the shop yesterday.
Do the non-sound ones have a speaker and Next-18 socket, like the Class 40s?
It's my understanding that they all have next18 sockets and built in speakers, like the class 40

Gave in yesterday & ordered a grey sound fitted one from Kernows, the blue sound fitted ones were out of stock there already. To my surprise it arrived today via DPD, lovely model & top service from Kernows

That's nice. When I got the email from Rails the other day I trotted along to check out the BR Blue/Sound Fitted one and it had already sold out. My wallet is grateful.
Naive question... is there any visual difference between the Farish 371-112, running number 31 173 in BR blue, and the new Farish 371-112A, running number 31 131 (I appreciate that there may be technical differences)?
No difference externally other than the running number. Both 371-112 & 371-112A are models of the same sub-class of class 31s.
371-112A has a Next18 decoder socket whilst 371-112 has a 6 pin. The DCC ready 371-112A probably also has a factory fitted speaker.
Digitrains have posted a video of a sound fitted on to their YouTube Channel:

Mine arrived this morning, I went for the BR green no sound version.
A nice quite model running around my test track as I type, so quiet I have to keep checking to see if its still moving  :claphappy: :claphappy: :claphappy:
