Title: DCC Wiring
Post by: clivemed63 on November 23, 2020, 12:33:17 PM
Hi All,
Just a quick question. I am now starting to wire in the power bus for my DCC layout and am a little confused. When I wired my DC layout, I reversed the power wires for a second loop so that the trains traveled forwards in opposite directions for each loop. Is this the case for DCC or, do I wire all the tracks the same (i.e. Red left, Black right). Thanks.

No don't swap stuff over, keep the wiring rail-for-rail outside and inside so that when you cross over between the two ovals there is no short.

To be honest I would always wire DC the same way, and just switch the controller for one loop to the other direction - makes far more sense  :D
