Title: Help with Covid-19 regs please
Post by: Newportnobby on November 04, 2020, 03:17:05 PM
I'm up to speed with most things but one thing eludes me and that is my Mother's 'support bubble'
The rules state:-
A support bubble is where a household with one adult joins with another household.

My Mother lives alone, as does my eldest sister and myself. My youngest sister has husband and son at home.
I've ruled out youngest sister from the support bubble, but can Mother have both my eldest sister and myself in her bubble, or is she limited to just one other household?
Thanks

As I understand it Mick, it's just the one, either you, or your sister.  But I could be wrong ???

That makes three of us who understand that it's just one other, i.e. two households, one of which is a single adult, allowed in a bubble - or it's three of us who are wrong  ;)

Hi

This question was answered on our local news a few days ago.

It's either you or your sister that is allowed to form the bubble with your mother not both of you.

Cheers

Paul

Yep. Last lockdown swmbo's brother had to do all the support visiting for their parents.  The most she could do was drop occasional additional shopping outside the front door.

Your mother (living alone) could bubble with any of her children, assuming they're not already bubbled with anyone else.

The only way you, your mother and younger sister could bubble together is if two of you lived together.

What's less clear are the rules on switching between bubbles.
