I hope I haven't got this wrong but I think it's someone's birthday today...
Happy birthday, Mick. You're catching up.
Thank you, Chaps.
Another year older and certainly no wiser
Got a clutch of Rails vouchers for future releases and had brunch with youngest sis yesterday. She'd gone an extra mile with her card and a wee tinny for me to keep some mints in the car.......

I've also had a Brucie Bonus in that I'd asked @Dr Al (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=263) to keep an eye open for a Hall class and he has let me know he has found one to 'breathe' on and I really look forward to receiving it. It completes my Manor (Ixion), Grange (Dapol), Hall (Dapol), Castle (Farish) quartet (not fussed about a King)
Yeah, but the jokes ain't getting better.
Well, the funniest one was Steve Flint, editor of Railway Modeller, meeting Mick at Wigan in 2014, saying he thought NewportNobby would be younger
;D ;)

Not sure you'll get many mints in there though.
Have a good one Mick :beers:
Happy Birthday to one of the best, whatever age you are or look :)

Aha, so that's what they mean by "mint in box" :beers:
I'll add my belated felicitations to the old fella, as @Newportnobby (https://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=264) knows, I never remember birthdays, not even my own and Della has got into the habit of starting the reminders about 4 weeks before hers so I don't forget :confused1:
Anyhoo, happy birthday scrote ;) :beers: ;D
hi Mick,
HB and I send our congratulations, but being HB, he is concerned if you have a fire extinguisher, with all those candles on the cake, it could be a disaster :smiley-laughing:
Thanks Alan (and HB),
Only 2 candles involved - a 6 and a 7 (you decide which way round)
I'm still reeling from your very odd pack of Blue Pullman on the N'Porium. How on earth did that come about?
got two sets at a good price, Chris Eve converted one power car as 'under restoration', which is now somewhere in the stash, ie bit forlorn, tarp over roof etc.
one set was extended using pullmans from second set
excess pullmans were sold, and not for too bad a price :)
I did ask you >:D but you were not interested :'(
plan was for a set to run on Ivk mk.1, with a spare power car in the yard, and the second awaiting work outside the shed.
but, v.2, v3, v4 and now v5 have all been smaller / simpler, with a subsequent requirement for less locos / stock etc.
still, I'm sure it is heading for a good home now.
I'll stand down the fire brigade, at least I hope I can, you should, hopefully, be able to blow out two candles :smiley-laughing:

97 ?
Happy birthday Mick! :beers:
Cheers, Stu
Hope you enjoyed your celebration of birth today Mick ;)
All the best
Dave

With all best wishes
Kevin
:beers:
And a belated Happy Birthday from me Mick. As I forgot/didn't realise, I will double the 'Jura' in your honour tomorrow. ;)
Belated Happy Birthday Mick, I'll get it right yet, too early last year, too late this :-[
