Title: Former Chivers N Wagon Kits on E-Bay
Post by: Roy L S on September 23, 2020, 12:24:27 PM
Hi All

It may have been common knowledge (apologies if it is) but Chivers kits are now being reintroduced under the five-79 brand (not sure if this is his son Matt?).

I have just spotted the N wagon range for sale on e-Bay, and pleasingly it now includes the LNER horse-box which as far as I know has not been available for some years: -

Naturally I have ordered a couple and an extra long LNER CCT, but there are also some of his modern image wagons listed.

No connection, just a fan of these kits..

Edit: Do check - not all listed are N gauge.

Roy

I believe it is Matt, and he's a friend of my next door neighbour

Interestingly they are all £2 dearer to buy on eBay than direct from their website.

I suspect that's in part at least to cover e-Bay seller's fees.

Thanks Roy, that's great news.  I've ordered an extra long CCT so I can recreate this little bit of Waverley loveliness:

I have one of the extra long CCT wagons and a lovely thing it is too. But, does anyone know of a source of LNER decals for them so I can finish it off.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Twinklekev.

I'm made up for them.  I bought the last stock of OTAs off Simon last year when he was in a bad way to help him shift old stock.  Hope he's doing better now.
