Title: MaGeR lub oil
Post by: dave.nm on September 06, 2020, 07:41:54 PM
Does anyone know how good MaGeR lub oil is? According to Osborn's web site it appears to be the bees knees.

I use nothing else. I've not found better - it's much thinner than some lubricants, so ideal for fine N gauge mechanisms, unlike thicker (e.g. Peco electrolube, greases) which add drag into N Gauge mechanisms.

Cheers,
Alan

I think it was recommended by Farish prior to Bachmann buying the company.

I've used it for the last 20 years (one day I might need a new bottle!). It works well and doesn't damage plastic gears.
