Title: Websites
Post by: BradC on September 04, 2020, 11:11:06 PM
Does anyone else here have websites/blogs to generate income from affiliate programs or advertisements?

I'm happy to support I keep www.chainswords.com (http://www.chainswords.com) it's a little about me but mostly about the layout at the moment but I'm doing gardening/farming and PC gaming too.

Let me know, I'd like to see others websites and support each other with traffic!

Any thoughts?

You're monetising your personal website with adverts? Sorry, that's enough to keep me off a website!

Really, why, there just advertisements...  Harmless ads on the site but they do make money if setup right as they target your interests like Amazon ads.

I don't see why it would keep you away, have a look at my site and tell me honestly if how it looks would make you never visit please.  I would defiantly appreciate more of your opinion!  You're honestly the first who has said this to me and I value others input.

I hope now I haven't offended anyone with this post, if I have I will remove it.

Thanks

HAHA so true Phillip, most people use Ad Block, including me!  It's just another tiny source of income that basically pays for the annual fees of the website.

I don't do that DISABLE ADBLOCK to view contents, that is annoying and not my style if you see something you like hey ho good if not hope you enjoy the page and the work I put into the trains and site!

Thanks for the feedback!

I don't find the ads intrusive; they wouldn't put me off visiting your site again.

:greatwork: Nice little website - well done.

 Not something I would tackle, difficult enough getting the layout working
