When I was but a lad in Wolverton one of the private coach companies was owned by a Mr. Richard Sole. Unfortunately he shortened his name on the rear of the coaches and had them painted with 'R. Sole' :doh:
Another time, when visiting my parents in Norfolk, we went to the market on Snetterton airfield. I was particularly interested in getting a tan leather jacket at the time and ended up at an Asian stand carrying the banner "You've tried the Cowboys, now try the Indians". I bought one there :D

Recall seeing that on the side of a Patel & Patel brothers builders van.
Round these parts a few years ago there was a carpet fitting company whose legend on the van Was: 'big or small we've laid 'em all'
We also have an estate agent called: 'Doolittle and Dalley'

A very old and respected name. Not sure, but I think they were featured in a recent 3 part TV prog about how we dispose of/recycle our waste.
In Leamington Spa there is a firm of legal advisors called Wright Hassall.

In 1982, driving back from my father in laws place on the far north coast of NSW, the clutch plate failed on my 1979 Toyota Celica.
It happened in a Godforsaken little town called Bulladela.
I was stranded there as it was the week between Christmas and New Year, nothing was open.
Anyway, wondering around the place with nowt to do, I came across the local doctor. Brass plate read:

There is a concrete mixing company called Mixit. They changed to that 5 years ago, as previously they were called Jim'll mix it.
