Title: Help in identifying an American wagon please
Post by: Newportnobby on August 10, 2020, 01:11:01 PM
Can anyone provide me with info allowing me to 'book this into my stock' e.g. manufacturer, reference number etc.?
I've tried trovestar.com and it's not there. There is nothing under the wagon either.
All I know is it's a 3 dome Hershey tank.

Looks like a Mehano T485 13955. eBay listing for one here (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mehano-Spur-N-T485-13955-US-Kesselwagen-Tank-Car-Hersheys-1-160-/174255519727).

I'd advise against eating Hershey's chocolate....tried it once, never again !

I totally agree (with a Brit's taste for choccy) but when they're one of your largest customers a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. It's a filthy job but someone had to do it :D ;)

If you want more information on North American models, I highly suggest this site: http://www.spookshow.net/ (http://www.spookshow.net/)  It's a work in progress still (by the webmaster's accounts) but it has a lot of information. I think the tank car you posted is in there as an Atlas model (but he mentions Mehano as well in the car's page.)
