Title: Comet Neowise
Post by: woodbury22uk on July 16, 2020, 11:44:20 AM
For the insomniacs located in the Northern hemisphere there is still the chance to see Comet Neowise  cross the the skies just before sunrise without getting out a telescope.

About 3.30 am on 23 July 2020 is when it will be at its brightest as it passes a mere 64 million miles from earth. You can already see it on clear nights at the moment and there are some photographs on the web showing just how bright it appears.

It's actually quite easily visible already from about 11pm onwards above the north western horizon. I have seen it a couple of times and I am going to try and get a piccy tonight.
