Hi all i seem to remember seeing something in a rail mag a few months ago a new frieght book about drax power station and routes timings etc but now for the love i cant find it online. ANyone know what im talking about?
Present day? Or historic?
You can get a pretty good idea of the present flows on Real Time Trains.
Today's services (http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/detailed/HEL/2020-07-06/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt). Busy place!
Try https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/rail-freight-flows-and-news-uk.195217/page-7 (https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/rail-freight-flows-and-news-uk.195217/page-7) and http://www.freightmaster.net/ (http://www.freightmaster.net/) also https://booklaw.co.uk/shop/index.php?id_category=44&controller=category&id_lang=1 (https://booklaw.co.uk/shop/index.php?id_category=44&controller=category&id_lang=1) worth a start. Freightmaster was the usual book plus here https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/rail-freight-flows-and-news-uk.195217/page-1 (https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/rail-freight-flows-and-news-uk.195217/page-1)
With the links nick provided this is actually more up to date and a feasibly accessible even from.a smart phone and click on the links to see the timings, route etc than year by year books which often become out of date if changes are made to traffic flows etc or new ones are added etc.
im thinking more of a hardback like the books pip dunn brings out https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ALeKk00vSPNTc9ah1zYNn7Hs_fS3p_x2bA:1594078408068&q=Locomotive+Traction+2020&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgFuLRT9c3NCqwTC6ztChU4gXxDLMMyi3KSlIKtaSyk630k_Lzs_UTS0sy8ousQOxihfy8nMpHjFcZuQVe_rgnLHWacdKak9cYjzBy4VEvpMPF5ppXkllSKaTEJSCFYq0GgxQfF6pDSowydl2ado4tSXCHCwNDxKlQBykjwbUrT97___-9vZIwF0dIYkV-Xn5upSADGHywVxLiYvcs9slPTswRZPj5v_4rSKEi56YoIQZJ5Tf2grMDGRq2bHJzkGBRYNBgMOxpYmS4nmzioMXQtG_FITYWDkYBBismDSaeRawSQEPyc_NLMstSFUKKEpNLMvPzFIwMjAwA5cKrni8BAAA&npsic=0&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjM7Ybq5LnqAhVVilwKHQMnDB8Q-BYwD3oECA4QLQ&tbs=kac:1,kac_so:1 (https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ALeKk00vSPNTc9ah1zYNn7Hs_fS3p_x2bA:1594078408068&q=Locomotive+Traction+2020&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAONgFuLRT9c3NCqwTC6ztChU4gXxDLMMyi3KSlIKtaSyk630k_Lzs_UTS0sy8ousQOxihfy8nMpHjFcZuQVe_rgnLHWacdKak9cYjzBy4VEvpMPF5ppXkllSKaTEJSCFYq0GgxQfF6pDSowydl2ado4tSXCHCwNDxKlQBykjwbUrT97___-9vZIwF0dIYkV-Xn5upSADGHywVxLiYvcs9slPTswRZPj5v_4rSKEi56YoIQZJ5Tf2grMDGRq2bHJzkGBRYNBgMOxpYmS4nmzioMXQtG_FITYWDkYBBismDSaeRawSQEPyc_NLMstSFUKKEpNLMvPzFIwMjAwA5cKrni8BAAA&npsic=0&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjM7Ybq5LnqAhVVilwKHQMnDB8Q-BYwD3oECA4QLQ&tbs=kac:1,kac_so:1)
