Yep, another gone. Although I liked him more for the influence he had on the way popular music went than I did for his music and act itself.

Still, a good innings.

I was lucky enough to see him in a concert in Wolverhampton in 1963.  When he took off his shirt I caught one of his cufflinks, which I still wear occasionally - if it were a real diamond it would be worth more than my house.  He was great fun to see in live concert.
