Florian Schneider 07 Apr 1947 - 06 May 2020 (73)
Co-founder of Kraftwerk. Synth God. Musical innovator and influencer. Most definitely influenced my own musical tastes and so much of the music I listen to today can be traced back to 70s Kraftwerk.

I saw that. Thanks for the links. it's a :censored: (changed by forum), isn't it?
Before C19, Kraftwerk were working on plans for a 50th anniversary tour in the US. Have always massively regretted not taking the one opportunity I had to see them live - Manchester Apollo IIRC.
I think my luminous 12" of Das Model is going to get a rare airing in memoriam. And my commute will be accompanied by Autobahn.
I remember hearing, then buying, Autobahn in 1974 and it blowing my mind, been a huge fan ever since. RIP Florian. The Man-Machine is one of my all time favourite albums.
Kraftwerk created some brilliant music. I was introduced to their music in about 1978 and have been a fan ever since. RIP Florian.
No prizes guessing what Spotify is playing for me today while I work from home.
It's a bit weird listing to "remasters" of some of the classic tracks when I'm so used to the original versions.
