Title: Well Done Captain Tom
Post by: dannyboy on April 16, 2020, 08:40:29 AM
What a fantastic achievement for a 99 year old war veteran - £12m raised for the NHS, (and, of course, thank you to all who donated).

Especially since his original target was only £1K  ;)

And wasn't his original deadline his birthday, 30th April? So he's time left to do another 100 laps - I have no doubt that he has the courage and fortitude to do that!

This calibre of human being once existed in their millions. Sadly they are far less numerous these days. Though they can still be found - these days more likely wearing sky-blue than khaki and an upside-down watch in place of medals.

#StayHome but really, really STAY :censored: HOME!

Currently £15.3 Millions and apparently he has said he will keep walking if people keep giving. Not only is he a military veteran, he has had a hip replacement and cancer.
Don't make them like him nowadays
