A first-class stamp will rise in price from 46p to 60p from 30 April.
A second-class stamp will go up from 36p to 50p.
eBayers take note when quoting postage prices for auctions that end on or after 30th April - and probably need to factor in the new rates before in case of late payers.
I've just been helping empty our local post office of books of 1st and 2nd class stamps. Best investment going !

Yes - so have I, and our Superdrug has a 10% discount on stamps!
Hi,
I work for a Franking machine company. Hopefully these hikes will encourage more companies to use franking machines. More work for us.
Alex
It's a big increase but will still be one of the cheapest in the EU.
Hasn't stopped me going to Superdrug and buying up some discounted first and second class stamps though!
