Title: Can I get an N gauge wheeled excavator???
Post by: exmouthcraig on January 29, 2020, 08:42:51 AM
 :helpneededsign: :searchingsign:

I'm after a wheeled excavator to convert into a Rail/Roader type machine for a bit of a diorama. Tried shapeways and google but nothing seems to give me what I want.

Just wondering if any one knows of somewhere that I'm struggling to find

https://www.shapeways.com/product/8NY7R6ZDD/n-gauge-komatsu-road-rail-excavator?optionId=43892934&li=shops (https://www.shapeways.com/product/8NY7R6ZDD/n-gauge-komatsu-road-rail-excavator?optionId=43892934&li=shops)

Not connected blah blah etc etc

I'd be surprised if a Japanese company did not produce one

George. Yes. Buckiemodelcentre.com and hattons list tomix  komatsu and fujimoto but they look overscale

hmm... other than the shapeways one already linked to above, the offerings out there all seem to be tracked rather than wheeled.

Fortunately I have a good friend who is an expert at making N scale vehicles etc. totally from scratch, so I've had this one sitting on my layout for the last 20 years ish  :D

Will a 1:160 model be suitable for your needs?

Lemke Minis will shortly be releasing this:

P and D Marsh do something that might be of use - ref E55PD.

Addit: Just looked on the website and that model is not showing, although it is mentioned on Hattons -
