Title: Class 47 body shell (latest generation)
Post by: exmouthcraig on January 25, 2020, 05:57:25 PM
Evening All,  :helpneededsign:

I've got a little something rattling around in my head at the moment and IF I go ahead with it I'd like a latest generation Class 47 dcc ready loco.

Chatting to a mate about his projects we had a brief discussion about mine, he has offered me a Blue DCC ready Cl 47 for a stupidly cheap price but........

Even though I've managed to paint some slab sided coaches green I dont fancy masking up and attempting to paint an RfD grey Cl 47.

Is there anywhere I can buy a replacement shell in grey for the blue dcc chassis????? I've seen an RfD grey Cl 47 dcc ready latest gen, on the auction site for £134 so the shell would have to be very expensive for me to not want to try this way first.

Any help, links or pointers are greatly appreciated

Thank you!!!!!

Craig

BR Lines do a range of body shells, but seem only to have a Scotrail 47 presently.

I've messed up a 47404 Hadrian trying to remove the printed nameplates to backdate it to 1975 (from 1980 something)

You can have the messed up one if you have a nice blue 47 that would pass muster in 1975?
