dear all,
I have offered some steam locos to another member, but he has asked if they are DCC ready, and to honest I have no idea.
with a diesel I'd whip the body off to check,
with a DMU I'd remove, with trepidation, the body to check,
but steamers are a black art to me and I am worried about damaging them if I try to remove bodies / tender bodies.
so, any chance someone can tell me if the following, or any of them, are DCC ready
4MT 2-6-4 tank engine 80097
4MT 2-6-4 tank engine 80038 weathered
2-6-2 tank engine 41310
2-6-0 tender engine 76069
4-6-0 tender engine 61321
2-8-0 tender engine 90201 x 2
2-10-0 tender engine 92226
any suggestions gratefully received.
regards
alan
80097
80038
Definitely aren't DCC
The 9F 92226 could be, I had an early Dapol Evening Star which is.
The rest no clue :dunce:
many thanks Craig.
did your glue arrive ok last night, or did engineering works overun ?
20.40 it arrived over my gate. I ran 2m of it and spent alot of time getting it right before misting and flooding.
This morning all good, the sample on Sundela was rock hard at 5.30 but actual layout on cork was still a bit damp. Very impressive stuff though apart from the massive amount of over spray.
Hopefully another 2m tonight!!!
apart from the massive amount of over spray
masking ?
glad it [1] arrived ok and [2] did what you wanted
Having them in my possession I can say the following are marked 6 DCC
76069 2-6-0
90201 2-8-0
All are NEM651 6 pin socket DCC ready, apart from 80097, 80038, and Dapol Ivatt 41310.
Those can be decoder fitted reasonably easy with wired decoders such as the Zimo MX616, and the Farish ones will need Digihat brush conversions.
Cheers,
Alan
many thanks to all those who have replied.
info will be passed on
again,
many thanks.
