what do you do on your laptop - gaming / Wp/ Browsing / email / graphics-3d modelling ?

this is a high spec laptop - if you just do browsing / email, then a Chromebook would be simpler, cheaper, and perhaps more reliable??

or get a local PC shop ( Not Currys/PC World) to fit more memory and an SSD (Solid State Device/disk) to your current machine? An  instant upgrade!

look at System on your current machine and tell us model/  make and current processor / installed memory, and the experts will advise.

(or look at https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/systemscanner (https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/systemscanner) and it will tell you currently installed memory and potential for upgrade)
