My laptop decided to do some Windows updates when I closed it down earlier.
Now all my favourites have disappeared on start up.
Is there anything I can do to recover them please?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
phone me mate, ill PM my number, it happened to me and i sussed it out
Are you runing Win 7?
My machine did some updates yesterday and I did not have any problems.
There is no reason why an update should delete your favourites.
Have you tried rebooting again to check it wasn't a glitch? - I know the answer is going to be yes.
If they have gone then you will need to restore to an earlier setup - do you know about that function?
Thanks Owl and Scotsoft,
Owl gave me a call and they are not lost but were hidden from view.
I have found them again - phew.
Thanks Guys

Your very welcome
I am so happy you have them back.
Now would be a good time to back them up to a data disk ;)
Like you Nobby I find my Favorites very important, I copy a list of the web address's in Favorites to a folder which I keep in Documents.
Because I update my Linux OS about twice a year all I have to do is highlight the address list and paste them back into my browser, I do updates to the list as I add interesting websites.
