I found this as usual while looking for something else entirely. An 8'6" wheelbase motor bogie has to be useful to someone if the height is OK, hard to tell from the photo. Possibly handy for reviving old Poole DMUs and HSTs.

Seen a few of these at exhibitions.
Wish they'd design them so they could be mounted to swing from a pivot point from the top of the unit. Then you'd be able to substitute larger wheels or re-gauge.
Bit of an opportunity missed there. I'd buy them if I could use them.

Now that's different! Though I must admit that by the end of my 3 week visit I had gotten pretty much used to weird stuff like that ;)
I've used a similar one under a PD Marsh Sentinel white metal kit and currently using one in a 3D print of a Drummond F9 inspection saloon, AKA "Drummonds Bug" (still under construction)
Beware some are 4.5 volt thus require a resistor in series with the motor to run on 12 volt.

Sorry to slide off topic slightly, but I'm trying to find a suitable motor bogie for the Sentinel white metal kit also. Can you remember which one you used and where it was acquired from. The one mentioned in this thread seems too bulky.

The one I used was a Tsugawa TU-TMC100 currently sold out, it is possible to adjust the wheel spacings within limits, motor is 4.5volts so needs a resistor to run on 12V.
