Hi Guys;
The caption at the bottom of this picture appalled me.
http://www.railway-centre.com/february-2012.html# (http://www.railway-centre.com/february-2012.html#)
Look for the picture dated 18th Feb and read the caption..
If I was the photographer who submitted the pic in good faith, I think that I would be most annoyed.
And, todays picture is crappier, if technically more challenging!!!
Maybe this should be in the angry thread!!!

That's a bit harsh isn't it ! I've taken much worse photos than that... It's in focus and you can read the loco number, from that angle I can't see how it could of been done any better !
Trouble is, when these journalists are treated to A1 quality photo's all day and then a slightly lower standard one is handed to them, it's like you have personally insulted them !!!
Well I thought it was a good photograph and the comments reminded me of something I read a long long time ago.
"It is very easy to criticise, that is why the world is full of critics!"
cheers John. :camera: :thumbsup:
I think you have missed the point. The loco is towing a load of bins - rubbish bins - thats why it's a rubbish picture. Geddit??? The caption is not denigrating the photographer at all, just having a bit of a pun.
I think everyone's read it in the wrong context? Near the bottom of the caption it says it's a "binliner train", so I'm guessing that it being a "rubbish photograph" is just a joke. ;)
Edit:- Damn, beaten to it!!! ;D
I see... walked right into that....! ::) :-[
Too subtle for me ! :smiley-laughing:

Me too ::)
hi Guys;
If it is TOO subtle, then it is not a pun at all.....
Maybe I was just being a thicky at first look!!!! ::)
And I think that it is a decent pic anyway!!!
I'll get back in my box now!!!

Just to add.........the name of the guy who took the photo is John BINch.... :)
The 'rubbish photography' is a bit in your face, but I saw the joke too. Not seen this site before though, so thanks for bringing it to my attention!
Some nice picture and (now don't shoot me if I get this wrong!) the Class 104 (green MU) and the 142(blue MU, 2 car) I quite like them especially the blue one, a bit quirky.
Don't get carried away though, I'm not going to swap sides all of a sudden ;)
