Title: Fading inkjet
Post by: Zogbert Splod on April 11, 2018, 03:29:24 PM
I've been looking around for details of a product that I have seen mention of here and in other places.  I don't know what it's called but it's a spray of some kind that is applied to an ink jet print to stop fading in direct sunlight.
I assume that something of this nature would be made by more than one company.  Any recommendations?   Experiences?  Hints, tips.  Does it buckle card?  Any colour cast?

Regards, Allan  :helpneededsign:

There is this sort of thing, but I think it leaves a glossy finish which might not be what you want?

... or this one which is matt...

Thanks for that.  I had a look at the links.  The first one does offer three different finishes and it's a few pounds cheaper than the Amazon one.  I think I'll go ahead and order the PPD one in matt finish.  Seems to be exactly what I was looking for.   :thankyousign:

Looked again!  the PPD option does not include VAT and there is over £4 to add for delivery.  Amazon is looking good!

I believe it's called 'Darkness', Allan, and can be purchased in nightjars.

Sorry

I use a product called "Inkjet fix" made by Ghiant. It's not cheap but it dries to a matt finish

That's the one that is linked above at Amazon, the one I was thinking of getting.  It's a little cheaper there than from PPD.  Thanks for the post, good to know that it works...
