:hellosign:
I am considering acquiring a rake of pre-Mk1 Pullman coaches to run on my yet-to-be-built layout based on the Western Region in Wales in the late fifties. The only WR service I know of was the South Wales Pullman, and I am unaware of any of the other regions running regular Pullman services into Wales.
Having checked the BH enterprise list, I find that their kits are of a 1929 design whereas all SWP stock was already in existence according to dates on a list I have seen. The only British-outline models I have come across are older GraFar ones, which I believe are generic.
Were/are there any other sources I can consider which may be suitable, please? Alternatively, would the Grafar ones be acceptable for my purpose?
I think the SWP consisted of:
K,BP 2nd; K 2nd; P 2nd; P,K(?) bar car; K 1st; P 1st; K 1st; K,BP 2nd
where:
K - Kitchen Parlour, P - Parlour, BP - Parlour Brake.
I would prefer not to invoke Rule 1 too much, so perhaps a West Wales Pullman will not run after all. :-\
Any advice gratefully received, thanks.
