Title: Wifes android tablet
Post by: NTrain on January 18, 2018, 12:08:52 PM
My wife has an android tablet and has managed to destroy the micro usb connector. Is it worth looking for someone to try and fix it?

Times are tough at the moment, so we cannot afford any drastic expense.

That depends entirely on the actual tablet - on many (Samsung spring to mind) there's no soldering required and it's an easy enough fix. Google the specific model for guides.

it depends on the tablet, The Tesco Hudl you just undo the case, undo two screws holding the USB in place, pull the flat cable out of a socket.
do the reverse to replace new USB.

and in the Hudl the USB board costs just under £15 deliverd.
