getting a bit fed up with this new year stuff, been putting up with fireworks on and off since 18:30  :veryangry:

thought the idea way to greet the new year with them, not make it an evening long series of explosions !

by the way, is it not still ILLEGAL to discharge fireworks on a sunday ?

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all on the best Forum.

Thank you for all the great stuff, advice and for potentially coming to see me in prison because my wife is singing along very loudly to Chic on BBC1 after the fireworks and well, there is only so much a man can take.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Thanks, on the plus side I can work from home literally next door to the layout, and it's more a question of keeping an eye on things...

Had Haggis for dinner last night, so now it's almost three hours into 2018 and I'm wide awake but shattered.
That'll teach me to forget I'm intolerant of pepper and spices! :(

Happy New Year everyone!

Thinks: Is it too early to order the first rolling stock of the year? :-\

Famous last words... turns out some $Customer re-enabled a script a couple of weeks back which runs on the first of each month, but had been out of action since summer, causing an undersized disk to fill up with 6 months of data processing, causing primary server shutdown, fortunately it was the middle of their night. Anyway a merry afternoon spent fixing it and chasing down the problem... Time for  :beers:

Totally the same up here, but as to the last question "No" not if the Sunday is New Years Eve.
