Title: Dapol GWR Mogul (in OO)
Post by: Bob G on December 18, 2017, 04:16:48 PM
There is to be a Dapol GWR Mogul in OO.

I saw it on the Hattons site here: http://www.hattons.co.uk/NewsDetail.aspx?id=231 (http://www.hattons.co.uk/NewsDetail.aspx?id=231)
and here: https://www.dapol.co.uk/Proud%20to-announce-the-launch-of-the-all-new-OO-Gauge-GWR-Mogul-2-6-0-Locomotive (https://www.dapol.co.uk/Proud%20to-announce-the-launch-of-the-all-new-OO-Gauge-GWR-Mogul-2-6-0-Locomotive)

Now I know a few people who would like one in our preferred scale.
But preferably NOT with the OO version's firebox glow (burned out capacitor perhaps, or shades of Tri-ang's M7) but certainly with DCC sound as per the OO version.

Let the shrink ray messages go forth....

Bob

63xx 2-6-0 is on the list for DJM at some point in time, not holding my breath though as there has not been a lot of models from him to date!

Best wishes

On dapol digest they've intimated these won't be reduced to n because they come as a pair (to reduce cost) and djmodels have the 63xx on the to do list.

I agree nothing from DJ models as yet apart from the mermaids in n, the austerity saddle tank, and the class 71, plus commission builds  :confused1:

Remember he is a one man band (like union mills) but operating on three scales.

And of course Union Mills produce ONE new product per year.
