On Discovery Shed channel all day today, series about building a model railway.
Started at 10:00 and is on until 5pm - looks like a OO model but might be handy for construction tips
Paul
Wonder if it might be worth a search on the old interwebs for a copy of it...
Thanks for that.
Im recording the whole afternoon so I can watch it off and on later.
I've got a goods yard to build this afternoon.
already seen these and have them saved on sky+ a good series just wish we had more like this on tv.have there been other series on tv i can vaguely remember one from around 20/25 years ago but cannot remember the name of it.

Quite a few tips there worth remembering
Thanks for posting about it
Its repeated tonight (Monday morning) from 0100 hrs. Well, they are showing 11 episodes I think, is that the lot? I have seen it a few times but I prefered Garden Railway, which I thought was a better watch.
Cheers
Kirky
They showed 14 episodes today which I think is the entire series, they've cut a few out for tonight's re-screening :-\

I saw this series a few years ago,not sure when though.I quite enjoyed it at the time but as I didn't have any money then,I just forgot about it.Now its on again,I'll be plussing it to watch at my leisure. And I might watch an episode or two tonight when I get home from the boozer.
Having a few drinkies tonight,I'm off work till wednesday so may have more than a few me thinks.

Brilliant series watched every one of them and the way Simon Farmer put a story to it added to its build. Would like to get hold of those flashing neon signs he had, and i have followed the idea of the wire underneath to fix the street lights. couldnt understand the plasma ball though
is there a catch up for this?
I can't get sky or cable, shame there is not a way of recording it to dvd ;) ;)
If you do a search in You Tube you can find clips of some of the programmes
If anyone has recorded them onto a PVR hard drive then it could be downloaded onto a computer then onto dvd but it would take up a fair bit of time unless they were kept as the original data files.
cheers John.
I couldn't possibly condone any infringement of copyrighted material though John ;D

Considering the dross that turns up on DVD, it's a shame that decent programmes like this don't get released on disc. Probably would have a few years ago, but with so many sat channels, it can get to a wider audience on the telly.
