Title: Peco track plans
Post by: Tackleberry on January 22, 2012, 09:34:25 PM
Has anybody built a layout using Peco track plans?
Just that I was flipping through a copy of a Peco track plan book yesterday and they have one entitled "Cobra Railfreight" which looks quite good.....!!!
As does the container terminal based on Falmouth docks....
And the rather clever coal depot......

quite a few of them look interesting, to save funds look at using flexi track in place of the straights at least.

Also the points are quite abrupt, giving a toy like look to the action. if you can design a layout based on one of the plans, but using longer points, it should be a good un!

My test track is based on the Setrack plan book 1b (Lapford), which is the one using the starter set plus extra track (all of which I got at less than the price of the starter set, by buying some secondhand). Fits nicely on a 4 foot x 2 foot board.
My main layout is still bouncing around inside my head  :smiley-laughing:
