This was cheaper than anywhere in the UK and it's brand new still in it's outer wrapper,

Yes, congrats in order, I think. I can't speak to the rest of your goodies, but your choice of Christmas motivation looks excellent to me.

Not too early for the Holiday Inn at High Wycombe to have its Christmas 2017 event brochure on display.
Nice selection of purchases.
Love those little engines and carrigies where did they come from?
Hi, Steamie, good to see you posting again.
Lemke in his description of the Kato set writes that the locomotive is loosely based on the Bavarian type D VI
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bavarian_D_VI (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bavarian_D_VI)) from the 1880s, and the carriages on Austrian narrow-gauge "Spantenwagen" like this:

Nice shopping trolley Steamie.
I wouldn't be concerned about the grubby state. Don't we spend hours weathering stuff? Yours is pre-weathered :smiley-laughing:

Well Bob the Turntable is great, so easy to set up and use, only thing is i haven't got used to the controller yet, bit to fast on the approach and leaving the TurnTable, that is the speed controller Bob, not the controller for the TT.
And this is the 1st run of the Little Kato Chilbi, it ran like a dream straight out of the box, didn't even get to 1/4 speed on the controller and it was off like lighting.
Hope you like it Bob.
