Hello all,
Some of you probably know about former MREMag website and the (free) online model railway magazine it recently morphed into.
Anyway, I've contributed an article about 'Westerns' to the current issue of MREMag, which has gone live today. Even if you decide my article is rubbish, I hope you find some of the others worthwhile!

Mods: feel free to move this if it isn't in the right place!
Cheers, NeMo
Thanks for the link but do you need to subscribe to receive the mag?
Regards,

Nope. It's free! But if you want to patronise the sponsors, then so much the better!

Thanks for the info

I will try and find out if there's a way to automatically subscribe. There should be, if there isn't!

I just got this reply for the editor when asking about subscriptions...
"When our new website is up people will have to subscribe to use the forum. It will be free but we will require email addresses. Then we will use them to send emails saying 'next issue is out, here's the link'. "
Sounds simple enough!
The forum will, I imagine, try to emulate the "Have Your Say" page that dominated the previous MREmag website.

Who did you sign up with Delboy, was it the MREmag or was it the site that is hosting it (issue) is the site, if it's the site thats hosting it, it won't tell you the new issue is out, well it might but they also try to get you subscribe to other mags for which i personally have no interest in,like LOOK and other women mags lol.
DOH!
It was the website
So how do I contact the mag for reminders?
Delboy
As mentioned earlier on, when the forum is online, there's going to be some sort of announcement email that'll get sent to members. If you wanted to, could participate in the discussion board side of the forum, at the very least providing feedback to the writers who produce the content you've just read!
I will ask if a simple email subscription or RSS feed might work better, but my guess is that the publishers would like subscribers to participate in the forum, generating "buzz" and in turn readership. The magazine works by getting paid advertisements, and to a large degree that depends upon the size of their readership.
In any event, if you want to get in touch with the editor directly, their email address and other details are on page 97 of the magazine.

Thanks NeMo.
Don't know if this is any help,
http://www.mremag.com/index.htm (http://www.mremag.com/index.htm)
I have put a reminder in my calendar for the next issue. Happy Modelling.
Thanks for the link Steamiest+
It just leads to the mag but no option to email
Will just have to wait for them to set up the option
Cheers Delboy

Thanks NeMo.
The editor told me just now that the free subscription gives access the forum (you don't have to use it though) AS WELL AS the email reminder about the magazine.
So as/when that's up and running, it does sound like people will get the reminder sent to their email inbox!
Thanks for all the positive feedback, and hopefully MREMag will get some more N-gauge input from the folks over here! As an NGS member, I'd always suggest that as your first place to publish, but if you aren't a member but would like to share your layout or some modelling projects with the world, please do consider MREMag.
Cheers, NeMo
