Hi all,
Have been a complete numpty and thought I'd share with the class.
I had painted some of my Kato track brown re rails and sleepers etc. Had most of the day off so thought I would try out ballasting around the area where one of the tunnel mouths go so I can fit it properly.
All going well but when I went back the white glue didn't seem to be going clear.
I have one jar of 50/50 glue/water and bit of fairy liquid and one of diluted white emulsion paint to wash walls to make them look more Spanishy.
Ole. Say no more . Chaos :censored:. Have tried to clean up the mess. Makes Lil Chris's yard look like a Picasso. Edit. prob wrong painter as mine looks similar to picasso, anyway a nice painting.
Think will be OK but waiting for it to dry after hosing it down (not literally)
Happy modelling,
Cheers weave (I need a very large drink) :beers:
PS. Luckily the points were for later.
A bit like holding a shovel in each hand and being told to take your pick :confused1:
We all do daft things now and then, Weave, so thanks for fessing up ;D
Cheers NPN,
Thought sharing my stupidity would ease my anger at myself.
Thinking about it must go and clean the pipette as well! :-[
Can't see why you didn't just go for a winter themed layout. :hmmm: :D
Easily done Weave.
Last week, I very nearly (but just stopped myself in time) put windscreen wash solution insread of oil in the car.
Was talking to the chap next door and not concenntrating. Both containers look similar but realised just in time.
Pal of mine was having trouble starting his lawn mover. Another friend is called in to help. After about an hour of fruitless trying, he gave up. He asked for some paraffin to clean his hands with. Told these was some in a can by the wall. No, this is petrol, he said. Where's the paraffin then! Nuff said.
We put high octane motor racing fuel into our lawnmower once, it didn't go faster, it did go at all :D
Having not had chance to clean my car this year before,I got all the stuff out yesterday and set about it.
First I needed to reverse it up the side of the house and all the windows and mirrors were covered in water from the nights rain,so I dropped the passenger window to get rid of it,but I still had to get out anyway to clear the mirror.
Reversed up the side and parked up ready to start and commenced spraying snow foam all over, roof, drivers side, rear and passenger side.
I really should have remembered to close the passenger door window first. :'(

In a hotel before you wipe your face with a refreshing "wet wipe" make sure that it's not a wet wipe for shining shoes.
Best regards,
Joe

I'd have loved to witness that if it had gone faster!
Or getting up in the morning and putting your underpants on the wrong way round then putting two legs into a trouser leg. Talk about restrictive practices.
You mean you don't have one of those Wallace & Grommet "getting dressed in the morning" machines ?

Over here, sometimes homeowner's machinery needs high octane:

Thanks guys,
A little bit of Schadenfreude is always good for the soul.
A few years ago I had left my van at the pub. On a cold frosty morning I walked to get it. Didn't have an ice scraper so found the blue can of 'de-icer spray'.
Or so I thought...... WD 40.
Interesting drive home, would have been safer the night before
Haven't dared go up to see the layout damage I've done but going in a mo.
Cheers weave :beers:
