Title: NGF
Post by: Steamie+ on January 17, 2017, 08:49:41 AM
I would just like to say what a great forum this is. So many threads to read and learn from (although it's a long job)  :) So if i reply to a thread or post that was put on years ago forgive me, there is so much information one can get from reading the threads and posts and i for one have so much to learn and get pleasure from this great hobby.

:thankyousign: for a absolutely brilliant forum.

Well said @Steamie+ (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=5847) .  :NGF: The forum is an ever-expanding fountain of knowledge/support/encouragement/camaraderie. It has increased my enjoyment of the hobby no end.

Same for me, without the (fountain of knowledge/support/encouragement/camaraderie) i probably would have given up. I was at a really very low ebb what with work and health + a lot of backstabbing from elsewhere, until i looked at this forum and saw how the members treated each other, so i joined and now my interest has increased to what to do and learn more.

:thankyousign:

PS How do you tag some one.

@Steamie+ (http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=profile;u=5847)
Just use the ampersand, no space, name of person to be tagged. As you start typing the name, a list will come up.

And I have to agree with wot you sez about the forum

Clotted Cream on Waffles !!!!!      You'd be lynched down here for suggesting that. Clotted cream goes on SCONES  not waffles (and don't forget the jam which goes on before the cream - for some very strange reason in Devon they put the jam on top of the cream :confused1:)

Mmmm Porridge, another delicacy that is hideously expensive in the land of pasta.

Post Brexit we will probably have to become porridge smugglers.

Never knew porridge was political. :confused1:

Okay, so I know the other word was being referred to but it was just the way I read it. :D

In defence of porridge, I can conservatively state, without opinion or conjecture, that I liberally partake every day, labouring to bring the independent elements of milk, oats and salt into a union of cooperative gloop that I eat with unrestrained pleasure for both supper and brexit.

When I was a teenager in the NE of England, some bright young entrepreneur (who obviously was the original yuppie) persuaded Quaker Oats to bring out strawberry porridge.

The sad thing was I liked the stuff.  :uneasy:

I agree that this forum is one of the best. The main problem is that I spend far too long reading other people's rubbish contributions and I forget to do any modelling...  :confused1:

Cheers,

Chris
