Title: R.I.P Liz Smith aged 95
Post by: Newportnobby on December 27, 2016, 11:13:49 AM
The star of The Vicar of Dibley and The Royle Family has passed away.
Strangely, the episode of The Royle Family where her character, Nana, died was only shown on the telly last week. She was always funny and obviously had a wonderful working relationship with Ricky Tomlinson, uttering the line about her friends having an a la carte meal - "They had soup of the day. It was Friday"
Goodnight, Nana :goodbye:

She'll always be Mrs Cropley to me with her weird and wonderful culinary concoctions. RIP.

Indeed the Queen of Sheba has taken her final chariot ride.  Farewell to Mrs Brandon (I Didn't Know you Cared").
