Title: As the Clocks Fall Back...
Post by: JasonBz on October 29, 2016, 11:51:45 PM
Will you be using that extra hour for any modelling activities?

I think I shall use it tonight,  not for a lie in tomorrow...and see if I can come up with a basic plan for my N gauge ambitions :)

Might give me more time for thinking about layouts and stuff as I endure the extra hour of insomnia.

We tried the daylight-saving lark in Queensland a few decades ago but gave it up as a bad idea.
Curtains faded, chooks didn't lay, cows didn't give as much milk, babies wouldn't settle, stinking hot going home at 4pm; disaster.

All this because the southerners couldn't figure out how to set their alarms an hour earlier.

Reminds me of these lines from a song

John Williamson – It's A Way Of Life

Real country people in their prime,
Livin' in New South on Queensland time

Forgot as usual so thanks for reminder.

We've got guests staying so no modelling  :( and now we've got another hour for the pubs to open for 'hair of the dog' and a nice roast lunch.

They're German and have brought some lovely sausages for breakfast so not so bad.

Will try and do some modelling later when they've gone but I think I'll be lured by the Sofa Siesta Siren.

Cheers weave  :beers:

Spent Friday afternoon offloading the products of IKEA into my Sister in law to be's new flat.

She has got herself a brand new 2 bed in a new development in Bristol. I am not normally a fan of new-builds, but one is rather smart (but certainly not cheap).

I found myself looking around planning where the layout would go and the big TV and the beer fridge......

In a past life perhaps!
