OK, it's bad news - but please !  So far, 2/3 of the complex seems to be OK ...

I've not seen any reports of where in the complex has been destroyed - it may be the pre-production store, the post-production store, or the manufacturing plant - we don't know.

Granted, either of the latter two areas will see prices increasing on the 'Bay, but it's not the end of the world !  Most of the complex is still functional, & the owners have said they'll rebuild ...

"The impact on this community is going to be great. While majority of the building is still standing, there is smoke and water damage throughout the entire complex. We don't know when they will be back in production," Dorhauer said.

quote from the article.according to that they don't know when production will be back and the entire complex is affected.

Think that was the fire chief, and not the company, though ...

Supplies may  not be as affected as badly  thought initiallly

Dear all,
As you may have heard we have experienced a fire here at Woodland Scenics and there is good news and bad news. The good news is that no one was hurt during the fire or evacuation process. The bad news is that it took out a couple of our manufacturing buildings. However, and fortunately, there is more good news than bad.

We encompass multiple buildings that are spread out all over the town of Linn Creek. We only lost two of those buildings and those two contained just a small portion of our manufacturing facilities. Our shipping department, warehouse and corporate offices were spared any damage, as were most of our manufacturing buildings, so it is business as usual.
Thanks for all your concerns.
Respectfully,
Gale Cousins Director of Sales & Customer Service Woodland Scenics

Good to hear no-one was hurt, and that they shouldn't be affected too badly

Used their ballast and tunnel portals so far, and I have a road-building kit somewhere that I haven't tried yet  :)
