When in modify track mode (CTRL + M shortcut) you can click and drag to extend a straight or a curved track at the same radius as the track you are modifying...
I've just discovered that pressing SHIFT whilst click dragging allows you to make a straight track curved or change the radius of the extended bit of track...
If only I'd know this sooner! XtrackCAD comes in for a lot of stick but I don't think it should!
BTW, I have a parameter file with the new 3 way point which I would post here if I could see how to attach a file!
I think XTrackCAD is a fantastic bit of kit. It my not be as fancy as others etc etc but for what it is, it does a great job, myself, brother and dad use the software to design their layouts.
I'm also an Xtrack fan but does take a bit of perseverance. :computerangry:
Other tips for making/working with curves are: when extending the track you can use the right click rather than the left click and this makes a curve at the end of the straight track. It is often difficult to get the curves to be the correct radius so I just usually make a random radius/length curve and then click on the curve and manually set the "angular length" to (for e.g.) 90° and adjust the radius as necessary. I also make a lot of use of the "create parallel track" function on the curves.
I would be interested in the parameter file for the 3-way point so if you could upload it somewhere that would be great!
Alternatively I could PM you my email address but that doesn't help anyone else.
