Happy New Year!
I wish to thank everyone who took part in the raffle. The prizes that were given to us were outstanding. This has helped generate a lot of funds to help the forum for the next year, and I will pledge a £100 donation to the Help For Heroes Charity. I would like to say a big thank you to the NGF staff who bought some items themselves, and pestered the poor unsuspecting manufacturers and shops for prizes! :D

No no, see, he's a bowler.....and.... oh well. ::) :smiley-laughing: :smiley-laughing:
There's no point squirming, although there's a lot worse you could have said (cricket related of course )
A nice start for me as I usually don't win anything in raffles. Also good to see that a donation is being made to a very worthwhile cause. Thank you to the organisers and also the manufacturers for supplying the prizes.
I also remember a few unfortunate commentaries from cricket but not the sort to repeat here :smiley-laughing:
Happy New Year everyone, and good modelling in 2012.

Hi Alan,
Lawrence will know the answer, as I think he got that prize. If you send him a PM and he'll be in touch. He's away from the internet at the moment.
Cheers,
Tank.
  Hooray, can't believe I've won something, I was only to glad to donate to what is a great forum (I rechecked my name 3 times and sought independent verification before posting, you never know I may have misread ;D ).
Thanks again and a happy new year to all members and staff.
Paul
I think that I'll be the envy of everyone when I get my NFG mug! ;D
Happy New Year to everyone!
Cheers,
Brooksy

Hi Brooksy,
I Private Messaged you yesterday, but I haven't had a reply. ;)
Tank.
First Off let me wish all on the Forum a Happy New Year.
What a way to start 2012 on the forum by winning one of the raffle prizes  :beers: this is the first raffle prize I have ever won and I am 55, so thanks to all who made it happen and more so to those who gave the prizes.
It was also nice to read that thanks to the massive support by members, Tank was able to make a super donation to a very worthy cause. We all at the forum can hold our heads high in the knowledge that we have helped others.
Broken Neck
I just knew this raffle would (like every other raffle in the history of the universe) be fixed, and that I would win nothing, but it's such a good cause it's difficult to be downhearted about it.
Happy New Year to all the mods and members.

I think this has to be the first time I have won anything in a raffle. Not bad after 66 years.
Glad to see money going to a good cause.
Happy New Year to all.
Well done all winners!

11. Etched Pixels Class 71 resin body shell kit to fit Farish 25/33 chassis.
Contact Alan through a pm to etched pixels on this forum
thanks lawrence
Congratulations.
10. Class 129 Conversion Kit from NTrain Griffo49
Prize now in post. Enjoy.
Several winners have been in touch about their prizes and offered to pay towards the postage (obviously I have a lot to post and it will eat into the overall fund), it was not the intention to ask for any contribution towards shipping as members had already paid for tickets, however should anyone who has won a major prize wish to make any further donation they can do so using the donation button as usual, but please do not feel you have to.
It is a very generous gesture by you and epitomises the spirit of the forum.
Thank you and Happy New Year
Congrats to all those who won :beers:
I didn't win anything :'( :'(

It was certainly a great start to the Nerw Year for me! I won a Rotacraft drill set in the raffle. Newport Nobby was able to send it to me 1st Class post and got it the day after he sent. It is straight from the manufacturers and because of its small size is ideal for me use. Unlike the Draper crafdt drill I have it is quite small and as a disabled person is ideal for me as i do not have so much weight in my hand when hold the the tool. As my disablity is a spinal one that affects my hands I could not have won a more ideal tool. Thanks to ther donor of this tool and everyone else who made donatioons.
If the small amount I donated helps this group / forum then all the better. Finslly a happy and healthy New Year to veryone and continue having fun with our hobby.

All members
who have contacted me (hint hint) have had their prizes sent out, and you should all have them, if not by now certailny in the next few day, the overseas guys will obviously have to wait a little longer.
Surprisingly, I still have some prizes sitting here awaiting contact from their respective winners - if I don't have your name and address I can't send your prize ::)
without getting too finicky. should we consider setting a cutoff, whereby if the prizes are not claimed, another name is drawn?
I believe Tank has a cut off date of 13th January

Right, a few evenings in front of the TV with the DVDs to get some ideas for that layout that I am going to build...

Just a quick note re. the repaint prize. The lucky winner (Pontybermo) chose an Arriva Class 57 complete with Dellner detail, and here's the finished result using the Farish First livery 57602 as a base:

Nice job! Lucky old Pontybermo. That was the prize I had my eye on!
Unlucky Mark! Maybe next year. I'll be offering another one in the next raffle.
If you want any repaints done in the meantime let me know.
Methinks "blue with yellow ends" would not be a challenge for you Chris.
I'll think of something good before the next raffle!
Absolutely Amazing Chris! Very well done
Received the class 57 yesterday and it looks stunning!
Thanks very much Chris, an excellent job!
Mark
No problem Mark. Glad to be of service and good to know you sorted the coupling on your chassis to fit the body.
Don't forget to post some photos when you've got your coaches!
