Title: Miniversum - large permanent exhibition in Budapest
Post by: woodbury22uk on May 25, 2016, 09:33:13 PM
Had the pleasure of visiting Miniversum yesterday. This a small size exhibition of the Miniatur Wunderland genre. It is H0 of course and covers landscape in Hungary, Austria, and Germany. The model making and presentation are of a very high order and the railway operation is convincing with realistic speeds and gentle acceleration and deceleration.

Recommended place to visit if you ever find yourself in Budapest.

I suffered a major battery failure in my camera so not a single good quality picture of Miniversum to show you. Will have to visit again sometime.

Thanks for the tip off.
We are planning a visit to Budapest later this year so will definitely have a look.
If it's only a tiny bit as good as Minatur Wunderand it'll be worth having a look at.

There are quite a few videos here. http://www.miniversum.hu/en/gallery/videos (http://www.miniversum.hu/en/gallery/videos)

I had the bonus of staying in the Mercure hotel in Buda which overlooks Déli station. This is what I could see. SWMBO was not so impressed by the view.
